Position Overview
Join our team as a Veterinary Technician who supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, overseeing triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records.

- Full Time: Must be available for 7AM–7:30PM on Saturday, Sunday ,Tuesday OR Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday
- Part Time: Must be available for 2 of those days
Purrfect Candidate: We prefer candidates with LVT or LVT-VTS credentials or students currently in Veterinary Technician school, with 1+ years of experience in urgent, emergency or critical care.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
- Perform diagnostics such as phlebotomy, cystocentesis, in house laboratory testing (CBC’s, blood chemistries, urinalysis, SNAP tests, blood typing, cross matching) blood pressures and radiographs. , take vitals, use and perform medical math
- May include some lifting or carrying (up to 50 lbs). Will include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Maintain medical records by documenting patients’ conditions, reactions, and changes; updates database in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining equipment supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Using critical thinking to work positively as a team player; remaining calm and professional while effectively problem solve.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Emergency Veterinarian to join our amazing team at . The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.
The Regional Veterinary Referral Center (RVRC) in Springfield, Virginia offers 24/7 emergency and critical care. The RVRC is centrally located near Washington DC and receives referrals from across the Mid-Atlantic region. We offer specialty care in cardiology, emergency/critical care, internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, neurology, radiation oncology, medical oncology and rehabilitative medicine with a licensed veterinary physical therapist. In addition to our specialties, our center houses an I-131 treatment center (Radiocat), ultrasound, digital radiography, linear accelerator, CT and an MRI unit. Also, our in house diagnostic center allows you to get rapid and accurate patient analytic data to make informed patient decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Supervises the staff within all hospital support departments; achieves and maintains all labor goals.
- Hires and trains office and technical clinic support staff; responsible for new hire paperwork.
- Orients and trains new clinic staff to the hospital and duties.
- Reviews work performance of direct reports, constructively delivers feedback, resolves personnel issues, and discussions with the Regional Manager weekly.
- Conducts timely performance appraisals.
- Documents and reports accidents; files appropriate reports.
- Writes policies/procedures relating to all technical aspects of the hospital and presents for approval.
- Manages schedules for technical and administrative staff coordinates the DVM.
- Monitors Workforce Management for missed punches and management of overtime hours daily.
- Administers the daily operations.
- Works with the PetVet Care Centers support team to ensure compliance with all administrative responsibilities.
- Monitors budgets, purchases equipment and supplies, and oversees the maintenance of the facility.
- Responsible for submitting contract veterinarian invoices, submitting all local vendor invoices, ensuring invoice accuracy, and obtaining w9’s from local vendors.
- Assists in resolving issues with pet owners where appropriate.
- Reviews revenue, labor, and employee issues with the PetVet leadership on a weekly conference call; achieve goals set in each area.
- Responsible for all local accounting functions; ensure daily financial information is accurate.
- Oversees the management of the inventory and ensures proper documentation and systems are in place.
- May establish and oversee billing practices; reviews and maintains the accuracy of billing and oversees charge capturing.
- May be responsible for contracts or negotiations with insurance providers.
- Maintain compliance of current licensure and the display of the same. Maintaining updated licenses for DVMs.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health science or related field strongly preferred.
- At a minimum, five years of direct office management experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience is required.
- May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
- Ability to provide customer service in a courteous, prompt, and efficient manner.
- Computer proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and applicable organization-specific software.
- Establish and maintain productive and cooperative working relationships.
- Active time management and organizational skills to complete work promptly.
- Excellent communications skills both orally and in writing.

- Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

We are seeking a dedicated Board-Certified or Residency Trained Small Animal Internist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. The Regional Veterinary Referral Center (RVRC) in Springfield, Virginia offers 24/7 emergency and critical care and provides specialty services consisting of Surgery, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Neurology, Cardiology, Radioiodine, and Physical Rehabilitation. The RVRC is centrally located near Washington DC and receives referrals from across the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition to our specialties, our center houses an I-131 treatment center (Radiocat), ultrasound, digital radiography, linear accelerator, CT and an MRI unit. Also, our in house diagnostic center allows you to get rapid and accurate patient analytic data to make informed patient decisions.

Position Overview
Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Within the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.
The Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, Virginia is a premier 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital serving pets across Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland through nine dedicated specialty departments staffed by board-certified specialists — each with at least three years of additional post-doctoral training beyond veterinary school. Their comprehensive specialty services span oncology, surgery, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, rehabilitation, and emergency/critical care, making this one of the most resource-rich specialty environments in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Key Responsibilities
- Offers owners and potential owners a warm and friendly greeting in person or on the phone; answers their questions
- Provide top notch customer service
- Maintain a professional appearance (clothes and attitude)
- Maintains clean exam rooms and lobby
- Identify and work compassionately with clients in various emotional states
- Responds to inquiries about the range of services the practice provides and the species it treats; refers to appropriate department/staff member as needed
- Coordinates the flow of pets and owners in the lobby; placates owners distressed by long waits, scheduling glitches, and other problems
- Recognizes the symptoms of pet(s) and owners in crisis; handles basic medical emergencies appropriately
- Assists owners when picking up medications, ashes or special dietary products; answers questions
- Inputs data to practice management software to check pets in; makes simple postings to accounts; compiles data for various reports
- Highly skilled at typing and editing a variety of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material ensuring accuracy
- Maintains professional in writing for responding to emails or documenting in database
- Receives and distributes incoming mail; processes and stamps outgoing mail
- Performs cashiering duties; processes refunds, returns and credits as needed
- Organizes and processes all payment plans
- Processes billing statements and collections
- May weigh pets when they come in for exams, procedures, etc.
- Processes faxes
- Shows up for work regularly; full time presence at work is essential for every shift
- Obtain previous records from other facilities and adds to patient chart
- Able to learn basic veterinary medicine terminology
- Be able to multi-task efficiently
- May take medication refill requests and messages for doctors
- Able to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, web search and other skills needed to use software.
- Able to reconcile the drawer and complete end of day duties at the close of the day
- Performs other duties as assigned by Hospital Manager and Medical Director
Qualifications (Required)
- High school diploma or GED
- May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- Previous reception experience at another Emergency Veterinary Hospital and strong typing and computer use skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Over 2 years of experience as an ER receptionist.

- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 10:30AM-11PM
- Wednesday to Friday - 10:30 AM–11 PM
- Part Time: Saturday to Sunday - 7AM–7:30PM
