At BVNS we understand the important place your pet holds in your home and in your heart. We know that when your pet becomes ill or is injured, you want them to benefit from the very best neurological diagnosis and treatments. Your primary care veterinarian knows you want that, too. That’s why hundreds of veterinarians entrust thousands of pets to our care each year. Our team of board certified and highly trained neurologists and neurosurgeons are well-known for innovative, high-quality, compassionate care that can improve your pet’s health, function and quality of life… so you can welcome them back home.
A Complete Neurology Center
Our highly trained neurology specialists can provide unparalleled care because BVNS is the only private neurology practice in the Mid-Atlantic with both high field MRI and CT capabilities on-site, providing rapid, accurate diagnoses for thorough, definitive treatment. BVNS is also one of only a few centers in the country at which advanced imaging, electrodiagnostics and spinal fluid analysis can be performed under one anesthesia and immediately interpreted by an experienced, board certified neurology specialist. Any needed surgery can also be performed under this same anesthetic event.
The Advantages To Such A Comprehensive Continuum Of Care Are Significant:
-
A patient can be seen the same day that a primary care veterinarian calls with a referral.
-
High field MRI, CT, or both, if necessary, can be performed the same day as the examination and combined with CSF analysis, electrodiagnostics and, when indicated, neurosurgery, a preferred process for the safety of the patient.
- Leading edge therapies and outcomes are consistently delivered at BVNS as we have a dual calling to heal and to teach.
